Grande Champagne Hors d'age

Its beautiful amber color with copper highlights reveals red and mahogany tones.

A round, silky, and powerful initial nose. Charentais rancio is omnipresent, accompanied by notes of walnut and licorice. Aeration reveals spicy notes, ranging from clove with its livelier hints to cinnamon and nutmeg with plenty of roundness. On the finish, notes of dried fruit tinged with candied orange appear.

On the palate, a very silky structure, mild blond tobacco. Floral notes, iris, nuts, chocolate, coffee... On the finish, a very nice length.

To everyone's surprise, the aromatic complexity of Hors d'Âge Coutanseaux Aîné will elegantly blend with the spicy and melting accents of a rack of lamb roasted with herbs.
